Are PhD students aware of Open Grants? This is an online repository for applications that got funded or rejected. Applicants share their essays as examples for future applicants. (E.g. NSF, NIH, Ford, etc). Please share! #NSFGRFP #NIH #AcademicTwitter ogrants.org

This is a huge factor in why I chose to attend Cornell BME for my PhD—there is no qualifying exam. We only have the dissertation proposal, which was one of the most affirming and validating moments of my graduate school experience. It saves us so, so much unnecessary stress 😬

This is for everyone who struggles with reading research papers. That used to be me. Pre-grad school, it could take me a week to at least get the gist of one paper. Well, not any longer. I’m a lot faster now and can go through multiple papers in a day. So what changed? ⬇️⬇️
