🌊 Awesome collaboration with Mrs. Roe and her HS biology classes today! During this station rotation, students used our new Meta3 VR headsets to see how climate change is impacting and reshaping our oceans. 🌎 🔥 Hands-on, minds-on, and fully immersive science learning!

Our WHS/WMS Future City students used our Meta3 VR sets to explore Lisbon and Barcelona to gather inspiration for their city designs. It was awesome watching them brainstorm and share ideas in real time while virtually walking the streets together. Meta

We caught a beautiful day for the 7th grade WMS field trip! Dr. Griffiths and I used some seriously innovative, screen-less technology…better known as... a compass 😎 for our orienteering scavenger hunt station. 🧭 Shoutout to the teachers/students who made the day great!

Incredible inservice day with the best teaching staff! We dove deep into “Using AI to Power UDL,” exploring how tools like Google Gemini/NotebookLM can revolutionize our classrooms. It’s all about making learning accessible for EVERY student; inspired by the conversations today!

Curiosity can drive discovery! After reading The Monster in the Mountain, the story of Marta Ramirez, a volcanologist from their Wonders text, 6th graders at Bonfield experienced a VR field trip that explored active volcanoes in Kamchatka and Iceland.🔥🌎📖

¡Qué experiencia increíble! Great team up w/ Señora Peiffer for this station rotation in HS Spanish class. Students explored Seville, Andalucía in VR, taking in the city’s stunning architecture, vibrant plazas, & rich culture while practicing their Spanish skills in context! 🇪🇸

It felt a bit like a Magic School Bus episode during Mr. Hough’s 7th grade science station rotation this afternoon as students shrunk down a couple of million times to explore the inside of virtual plant and human cells!

Always love teaming up with Ms. Carlock and her creative 8th grade ELA students for our annual Poe Animation/Video project! Students are using Canva Video to design abbreviated summary versions of the short stories and poems they’ve read from this delightfully creepy author.

Shoutout to Mrs. Moschini’s 7C ELA students for bringing the ENERGY today during this Unit 4 Vocab Goosechase! It’s such a fun, interactive way to review vocabulary. ⚡️ 🪿

6th graders in Mr. Eakin’s class were absolutely locked in during class today! We are using Bloxels to design video game adaptations of “The Cay,” bringing key scenes and characters to life through game design and storytelling.

🎃 💻 Tech or Treat 2025 was a hit! This year’s PD spotlighted AI tools like Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and Canva, helping teachers explore creative new ways to bring AI into the classroom. We loved the participation across all buildings: 330 submissions in just one week!

🇪🇸 ¡Viva España! Teamed up with Señora Kovac for an 8th grade VR field trip through Madrid and beyond! Students explored palaces, Gaudí’s stunning architecture, famous art galleries featuring Picasso and Dalí, lively plazas, and even the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Ms. Brower’s 7th graders are diving into TeachQuest to gamify learning in ELA! Students can complete personalized learning quests and take on epic boss battles during review game raids. Most importantly, they will have to work as a team to level up. Adventure awaits!

🌍 ¡Viva la aventura! 8th grade Spanish students joined Mrs Pieffer and me for an incredible VR journey through Spain! Students explored famous landmarks and admired masterpieces at the Prado Art Museum and Museo Reina Sofía, all from the classroom.

🎮 🌊 Project showcase day in Mr. Eakin’s 6th grade class! Students got to demo each other’s Bloxels games inspired by The Cay, exploring how level design and dialogue brought the story to life. Incredible creativity, and storytelling on display today! 👏

🔬 Mrs. Roe’s biology students dove into the microscopic world of cells today. This was an awesome UDL-inspired activity that let every learner experience biology in unique ways. One station, allowed students to use VR as they explored prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells up close!

Mrs. Walters & Ms. Dannehl’s HS World History students went on a VR tour of royal palaces during their Absolutism unit! From Windsor Castle to Versailles, students explored how architecture and design reflected the power of their rulers. 🌎 👑

Today’s “OK for Now” station rotation brought the major plot points to life with immersive learning. VR Apollo 11 Moon Landing, A MagicSchool AI 💜 🪄✨ chat w/ a 1960s/1970s Vietnam protestor, and a My Lai reading and reflection circle. Glad to have teamed up with Mrs. Brower!
