A lot of players are going to be apart of the โ€œ10,000 shotโ€ club this summer BUTโ€ฆ Are those makes or attempts? Are they shots you actually shoot in games? Are they done at game speed? Are they done with defenders? Itโ€™s cool to say it but are you getting BETTER?

As a coach, your goal should be to develop 5-Tool Players: 1 - players who can pass 2 - players who can handle the ball 3 - players who can finish at the rim 4 - players who can shoot the 3 5 - players who can make the right reads

My dad used to say: "You should never be outworked or out-prepared." There will always be people smarter than you and more talented than you. But you control the effort and the prep.

Too many coaches set the bar where players are instead of where theyโ€™re capable of going. If the bar is low, itโ€™s easy to meet the standard. We want athletes who chase challenges โ€” not comfort. Raise the bar โ†’ then coach them up to reach it.

Most players arenโ€™t getting to where they want or what they want because they try to be cool. They care more about being cool than being great. Itโ€™s usually the non players that try to be cool and warm up with no purpose. Hard to take you serious as a basketball player.
