Juneteenth has been a federal holiday since 2021, but it's been recognized at the state level much longer. Texas has celebrated it locally since the 1860s and made it an official state holiday in 1980. Florida first recognized it in 1991, Oklahoma in 1994. pewresearch.org/short-reads/20…

I love the occasional survey question about pop culture, and Gallup has a good one today for the 50th (!) anniversary of "Jaws." 78% of US adults have seen the movie, but as you might expect, that percentage is much lower among the youngest adults (53%). news.gallup.com/vault/691907/g…
