I've talked to many Republicans in Congress with grave concerns about reconciliation bill in private but then publicly support/vote for it. Threshold theory at work. Only a few members have threshold=0. Many have threshold in 10-20 range. The gap is threshold in single digits.

Just realized that "all-in pricing" that eliminates junk fees for tickets and hotels quietly took effect a few weeks ago. I’d grown so cynical I figured it would get tied up in the courts and never be implemented. Score one for good governance.
