Dear Delta - If this is TRULY "no strings" then this is a good move. But if it's a veiled way to get people to accept an offer in lieu of any longer-term true settlement, the $30k is likely only a miniscule downpayment on a massive settlement. Should be interesting to watch.

This was immensely predictable. City leaders in St. Paul need to stop their idyllic "reimagining" of downtown St. Paul and they need to first start addressing root causes of the steady departures of businesses.

Something seriously needs to change in downtown St. Paul. Being adjacent to one of the many deteriorating former Madison Equities properties, I can say without hesitation that this spiral cannot continue. twincities.com/2025/03/11/st-…

It's alway "good craic" in downtown St. Paul every March 17 -- at least for a couple hours. Grandpa Patrick Thornton was born on this day in An Spidéal, Ireland (outside of Galway) - March 17, 1892. As a kid, I thought the parade in downtown was for him.

Observations from a Downtown St. Paul business. Recovery will take meaningful collaboration and a crap ton of heavy lifting versus idealistic "reimagination" aimclear.com/why-urban-down…

This is encouraging to read, and it seems to go beyond the typical "reimagining downtown" dreams. But I'd rather see realistic, attainable 5-year goals versus the stretch goals I keep seeing. bizjournals.com/twincities/new…

The age-old challenge for outdoor music festivals. We used to have barn-burner concerts at Harriet Island in the 80s and 90s, but it always frustrated residents up on the bluff. Same story - different decade - different venue. To me...draw the crowd, open the windows, and enjoy!

I have made it 60 years without anyone “code talking” to me. And as for politicians, the rare few I’ve genuinely supported spoke genuinely with me. Such a novel concept😐😐😐 We deserve so much better than what the political machines offer.

Really eager to have more of the government employees back with the rest of us in downtown. The more the merrier. Glad that Afro Deli is staying in the main part of the city and not bailing to the 'burbs!
