The Rockies don’t have high WAR players and are being brought down by players with massive negative value. What did it look like when the Rockies were good and is there hope they are headed in the right direction? sbnation.com/e/24078678

This book is awesome. Robert Justice's ability to shine a light on injustices and write about the history of police corruption and the setup of the misjustice system in a historical fiction way is amazing. Support his work and amazing non-profit Read a Book, Right a Wrong.

Women are not only playing baseball all over the world, but crushing it and paving the way for generations to come. sbnation.com/2024/12/10/243…

Many thanks to Joelle Milholm for her wonderful piece on our new film, SEE HER BE HER, which ran on SB Nation as well as its new all-women's site, Breakaway. Thank you! sbnation.com/2024/12/10/243…

For the first time since 2019, the Rockies had four players hit 20 or more home runs, and they moved up 11 places in the MLB team HR rankings from 2023. Will the Rockies be able to keep hitting more HRs in 2025? sbnation.com/e/24084279

For the majority of the Colorado Rockies existence, they have been led by serious and quite leaders who set the mood in the clubhouse. With the Charlie Blackmon era over, it’s time for the Rockies to try out a new team energy. sbnation.com/e/24089754

Instead of searching for Rockies highlights from the 2024 season, my favorite baseball stories came from women’s baseball. From Jenny Cavnar calling A’s games to the documentary See Her Be Her, women’s baseball sparked a lot of joy for me this year. sbnation.com/e/24093963

Emily Dickinson: “Hope is a thing with feathers - That perches in your soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all.” Hope is not a Rockies fan. Instead, we have to carefully temper our expectations to try to make it through 2025. sbnation.com/e/24098824

If Germán Márquez, Kyle Freeland, Ryan Feltner, Austin Gomber and Antonio Senzatela can be a steady presence in the Rockies rotation in 2025, it give the Rockies a consistent and experienced core on the mound it hasn’t had in at least five years. sbnation.com/e/24104471

Spring Training is coming. The Rockies will head to Arizona in less than a month and begin building the roster for the 2025 season. Check out the key dates, some interesting notes, and storylines to think about as baseball season gets closer. sbnation.com/e/24109736

The Rockies have put up the worst ERA for starting pitchers in Major League Baseball the last 2 seasons. With 2 starters returning from 2 years of injuries, adding a 6th starter could help give each pitcher more rest and maybe increase effectiveness. sbnation.com/e/24114322

The good news is that Denver is finally getting an NWSL team in 2026! The bad news for the Rockies is that they got called out by Colorado Governor Jared Polis for being the only pro team in Colorado not taking advantage of the altitude. He’s not wrong. sbnation.com/e/24119764

We lost one of the best ever today, but they left us the best gift: their poetry, which already has and will continue to impact my life and all those who read it forever.
