To avoid haemolysis in #G6PD deficient infants, treating breastfeeding mothers w/primaquine is not advised. But kids have <1% of mom's primaquine exposure, so significant haemolysis highly unlikely: Primaquine s/d not be restricted for breastfeeding women go.nature.com/4c0Lyjx

Good news! No evidence of sub-optimal #malaria treatment or substantial changes in pharmacokinetic PK properties of ACT partner drugs amodiaquine & piperaquine during pregnancy. Dose adjustment NOT warranted for women in 2nd/3rd trimester of pregnancy! bit.ly/4dSvpy5
