After watching Ep7 of #Pluribus, message to Vince Gilligan: "Just because Apple will fund anything you do doesn't mean you should do anything you want. There's artistic merit in concision." OTOH, took me <25 min to scrub through episode. Still big fan. Onward to Ep8.

Many former students of North Carolina School of Science & Mathematics mourning the passing of four-term NC governor Jim Hunt. I finally met him in NYC a decade ago and thanked him for dramatically changing the lives of my classmates and me.

Back in the day, it should be a minimum $100K MRR, so in the past ten years, it's doubled. This sounds reasonable. But the size of the raise is way bigger.

When I was periodically living in Melbourne, Australia, awhile back, locals always talked about “4 seasons in a day.” Here’s what’s coming up this week.

So much audience targeting is highly suspect, even w/ 1P data. Here’s a platform with outsized level of direct knowledge about me professionally (ad/martech product & engg leader focused on AI) & I get this in my stream. And no, I’m not secretly browsing pharma sites. ???

Whenever I reflect on how cold it is in NYC (now in the mid-teens), just pull up weather for family in Minnesota and things now look downright balmy here.

When it snows a lot in NYC, I love going out at night. Makes everything clean & quiet — and in some parts of the city with enough snow, almost magical. Ok, maybe not here in Midtown for last one. But still, city very still tonight.

Liking New York Times Games Crossplay but only played a human once. With everyone using AI and no way to police it, what’s the point unless it’s between friends?

Wonder how much of NYT traffic is attributed to Wordle, either directly or using game as draw for other content? Haven’t seen any public stats on Wordle traffic since early days but certainly is prime reason for New York Times Games division’s success.
