Very stoked to be playing this fest on Saturday. Dirt Bike Annie took The Ergs on their first tour. Charlie Brown Gets a Valentine were our first tour mates after that. Steinways were at every NYC gig with us. The Whimsyland record is amazing. Full of Fancy! Be there!

Truly wild to 1996 me (hell, 2023 me as well!) to have the singer of Less Than Jake say so many nice things about The Ergs. Even I learned things about the song from this.

I saw Oppenheimer and it was truly great, 10/10 etc, but prob the best part of going was seeing the line for popcorn snake out the door of the theater full of people decked out for Barbie. Can't remember the last time going to the movies felt like a real cultural happening.

Happy with the result for the obvious reasons but also because the Uihleins, who send me and seemingly everyone else in creation that fucking huge print catalog every month, spent millions trying to influence the vote the other way.

Damn, this long lost Roky Erickson verse goes hard.

I am very much a person who does not like my favorite albums of all time cleaned up & remixed even if they sound like shit but this new version of Tim is as much of a revelation as everyone is making it out to be.

I will miss this band. I don't go in big on the Jersey pride thing but this band made me get close. They were just so damn good, right from the get go (and they only got better). Killer live and great records for years on end. What a run.

Playing in a new rock combo called BODIES IN THE SAND. Although it features members of Night Birds (and some other talented folks), it does not really sound like Night Birds. Playing our first gig at Salty's on January 6th. We are not playing last as this flyer would imply.

You NEED to see Riverboat Gamblers. The Ergs set is just a nice bonus.

Can't wait until my kids are in the age window where they can go to a pro wrestling card but don't yet know it's a work so I can enjoy the pure moment of them booing the shit out of the heels like a grandma at an 80's WCW TV taping.

Was dining in at Maryland Sheetz with the ever charming Mike Yannich when the news of the day was announced and I damn near dropped my boom boom sauce.
