Our Spring 2022 F1TENTH course Penn Engineering is coming to an end with a head-to-head race as a big finale. So proud of our students for developing such sophisticated racing algorithms in one semester. See you at our IEEE ICRA race! Open Robotics The Autoware Foundation ๐๐๐๏ธ Joe Speed
Wow, IEEE ICRA in Philly was a blast! So many nice fellow researchers I talked to. Additionally our Autonomous Racing Workshop recordings are finally online - check them out: youtube.com/playlist?list=โฆ IEEE RAS @f1tenth The Autoware Foundation ๐๐๐๏ธ Penn Engineering
Our good friend and main developer Johannes Betz is leaving Penn Engineering to become a professor at TU Mรผnchen. Follow him for updates on his journey and no worries - he will stay a member of the F1TENTH family ๐๐
Say hi to EDGAR ๐๐ป, our new autonomous testing vehicle TU Mรผnchen. Equipped with latest state of the art sensors and computation hardware we are ready for some exciting new research topics ๐
Wow, what an honor from IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society to receive 2022 IEEE Outstanding ITS Application Award for TU Mรผnchen. After so many years of R&D efforts and the many races we had against strong competitors, this award is the biggest acknowledgment that we are on the right research path.
We published a new article on the ethics of autonomous driving: Applying ethical theories to the decision-making of self-driving vehicles: A systematic review and integration of the literature Franziska Poszler, Maximilian Geiรlinger, Johannes Betz, Christoph Lรผtge #AIEthics
Bringing home a big win ๐ for TU Mรผnchen Robotics&AI@MIRMI in the first ever multi vehicle autonomous race in the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League! Proud of the team that did a fantastic job!
