Clearer boards on in Essex. 110 full supers mix of commercial supers, BS deeps and one 14x12 (back breaker!!!) off 29 hives. Lost one that went queenless

So after removing the bulk of the honey and leaving them with two commercial supers. After 2 weeks which the borage was swathed after a week all the boxes were full! So cleared again to one super and after 24 hours half full 🤯 got half the hives home. The others will be full!

I think now would be a good time to shout out to the farmers who gracefully allow us to place bees on their land. We're one of the few members of the public who see first hand the good work you do for the countryside. Cheers! 🐝

Why buy British honey?🇬🇧 Only 14% of the honey we consume comes from Britain, compared to 60% on average in Europe. Most of our bee keepers are small-scale enterprises. Support our local economies and Love British Honey!🇬🇧

All the moving is done for this year well till they need to come home 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️. This group have been here 2 weeks and working into the third super. Referencing Chris Manton and Paul Horton (Apidae Honey) comments about being paid. This farmer has moaned about the lack of bees on the crop 🤷🏻‍♂️

Had my padawan learner with me today in Essex. Can’t quite manage the boxes yet but is a pro smoker operator! Had some steppler like brace comb in the clearers

Well what do we say about this…. A fantastic article written by clearly an extremely gratuitous and self deprecating bee keeper! I thought we had done well this season but I shall keep quite my numbers as Paul Horton (Apidae Honey) knock mine into a cocked hat! Keep up the good work!
