Had a lovely day with our Edge Hill University - Geography and Geology 2nd year students. We visited CumbriaWildlifeTrust Foulshaw Moss to learn about management and restoration on the site and also did some peat coring for environmental reconstruction! A wet but fun day, and the Reserve Officer was amazing!!!!

We had great fun in our Edge Hill University - Geography and Geology Environmental Issues lecture today. We discussed the issues of melting permafrost. I then gave each group a scenario that they had to solve with Lego such as constructing railways or hospitals etc. We had some innovative solutions!! 🧊

#diatom peeps! This is not the best image, but can anyone tell me what this could be? Looks like a chain of centrics, but with the central area darkened, I really doubt it! Is it part of something much larger? Microsphere next to it for scale. @DiatomsATTACK Kirstie Scott
