After a preliminary survey of the damage on the north side of Ada, damage survey team found at least EF1 damage. This survey is still ongoing and further analysis will be provided at a later time. #okwx

We just received a report from a fire department official of a funnel cloud near Okeene. Therefore, a special weather statement has been issued for parts of northern and central OK, valid through 4PM. Weak, cold air funnel clouds will be possible into the afternoon. #okwx

3:50 pm - A couple of storms are rapidly developing along and just south of a warm front in southern Oklahoma. These storms will be quickly capable of producing baseball-sized hail and damaging winds. The tornado risk will increase as they approach the warm front.

5:25 am - It's heatburst season! Heatbursts are caused when air from decaying thunderstorms is forced downward, heating rapidly as it approaches the ground. The Chickasha Mesonet site has warmed up to a blistering 95 degrees before sunrise from an ongoing heatburst.
