Being a carer, quite often means giving up your career, your pension, your career progression. Being a carer goes beyond the normal "mum or dad" hours, or the normal "mum or dad" years of taking care of their child. A parent will always help their child regardless of their age 🧵

2024 must be the year that social care is fixed. Politicians must break the habit of a lifetime snd see social care as skilled work & make investment a high priority. Social care delivers social inclusion to the most marginalised. It’s time for recognition, investment and reform.
