S1 (2024) & S2 (2025) of "Scariest House in America" featured some haunted homes, but most were simply eccentric or just decaying wrecks. S2 was highly interesting, as the house remodeled in the finale was about an hour's drive from me in Bellefonte, PA!

Gray escapes custody, but VILE wipes his memory & returns him to his old electrician job at the Sydney Opera House. Car decides to stay away from her former friend to protect him. Devineaux & Argent join A.C.M.E., a secret group dedicated to exposing VILE through Carmen!

As S1 progresses, Carmen, with help from friends Zack & Ivy, stops various VILE plots while encountering old evil classmates. While chasing Car, Devineaux's ACME ID Keycard gets stolen by Car, then stolen by VILE's Paper Star, who reveals ACME's existence to VILE's leaders!

VILE's Dr. Bellum hacks the ACME card, revealing it belongs to Devineaux. VILE leaders Shadowsan & Brunt capture him for interrogation. While Car rescues Dev, Brunt asks Car to be a VILE member once more. When Car refuses & Brunt tries to destroy her, Shadowsan saves Car. Why?

Shadowsan confesses that he was the 1 who found Car as a baby, not Brunt. As Car grew, he was trying to protect her & had intentionally failed her knowing that she'd reject VILE. In the present, Shadow leaves behind another VILE hard-drive for Car's next series of capers!

Cheaply made but still haunting, 2016's Lost Creek had Peter move to a new town & meet a ghost girl, Maggie, who died in a river. When a monster starts stealing folks, Peter finds that the creature was born from Maggie's nightmares. He helps Maggie move on & befriends her neice!

1985's "Joey" or "Making Contact" was Roland Emmerich's 1st attempt at making an American-style film. Joey develops telekinesis & thinks he's contacted his dead dad via a small phone, but it's really a possessed ventriloquist dummy named Fletcher. And that's all the story!

"Halloween Wars" Season 15 (2025) ramped up the tension by hosting contestants who were desperate to win. Why were they desperate? Because many of them had been in the finals in previous seasons but lost! Congrats to Poisonous Perfection for the win! Jamie finally did it!

"Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween" had kids unleash Slappy from an unpublished Goosebumps book. Slappy uses Wardenclyffe Tower to bring the town's Halloween decor to life. Sister Sarah combines the book's power with the tower's energy to save the town while getting writing advice.

On Halloween, I saw 2020's "Shock Docs: This is Halloween", a special covering the origins & traditions of the holiday, including the rise of trick-or-treating in the 20th century to keep kids from vandalizing neighborhoods! The special had guests from every Travel Channel show!

2020's "Shock Docs: The Devil's Road" was the ultimate special chronicling the lives of paranormal investigators Ed & Lorraine Warren, and the perfect thing to watch for my post-Halloween blues. It covered some cases that WEREN'T featured in any of the Conjuring films!

"Expedition X" S10 was better than last season, with Heather showing more emotion when she meets the supernatural. Topics: Spike Island, Conjuring House's neighbor, Hessdalen's UFOs, Santa Compaña zombies, Rock of Gibraltar ghosts, Bridgewater Triangle, & Bangor, Maine's tunnels.

"Nightmares of Nature", a horror-based animal doc series, was so good! Maya Hawke's macabre & quirky narration chronicles a mother mouse, a raccoon, & a bullfrog trapped around an evil cabin in S1. S2 saw an opossum, a baby iguana, & a spider mom flee to an abandoned jungle lab!

The 2-part "Jonathan Ross Haunted Homecoming" was a spooky journey as a British TV host revisits places from his youth, uncovering their ghostly secrets & offering a unique glimpse into the haunted past of East London. Jon got bored, falling asleep when reaching out to spirits!

Eps 1-6 of "Magnolia Table: At the Farm" (apparently a spin-off of Joanna Gaines' "Magnolia Table", which I have NOT seen) reminded me A LOT in style, presentation, & tone to "With Love, Meghan." I'm sorry, but I prefer Meghan Markle's show over Jo's. Meg is such a casual host!

2023's "Haunted Mansion" saw widowed ghost-camera inventor Ben investigate Gracey Manor, where the 1st owner had failed to contact his dead wife for a year & attracted the evil Hatbox Ghost who now only needs 1 last soul so he can escape the house. Ben makes peace with his loss!

"Elio" was a stellar surprise! Aliens beam up a lonely boy to the Communiverse as an ambassador. Elio soon befriends a warlord's son, Glordon. Elio discovers that his aunt (& Earth) cares for him as he rescues Glordon from the government & returns him to his dad. No one is alone!
