I would agree with this if sega themselves in investors interviews didn't say otherwise lol. Frontiers was what got sega to care more about sonic team as a developer. Then saving the game franchise from turning into a nostalgia ip like mega man.

If frontiers didn't sell well that would be it for new and well funded sonic games. That new donkey kong game had around 400 devs working on it frontiers had 120. Kishimoto said he was aiming for 300 on the next mainline game. That would not be possible if frontiers flopped.

Badnik Mechanic (Dave) This is not true at all tho. We have seen proof of sonic team only now getting more funding and manpower because of frontiers. Mania was talking about for its critical success but rarely mention in investor calls for how changed the way they put effort into sonic.

Badnik Mechanic (Dave) Uhhhh.... yes you do. All companies need them. Their a way of getting people to know about the state of the company. What their plans are. And what to fund certain with. Which btw the movie was why prime was made not mania adventures lol. That's why it now airs on nickelodeon

Badnik Mechanic (Dave) You don't have to like frontiers to admit it did alot more then mania. Watch moon's video on sega's ip handling. Sega's entire way of thinking shifted with frontiers and the movies

That sonic timberlands collab is getting alot of press. Sonic 35th anniversary next year. Maybe a world wide release 👀 more shoe collabs would be cool too.

‼️NEEEEW VIDEOOO UUUUUP‼️ THIS Sets Sonic Racing Crossworlds Apart. Love the marketing they’ve been consistent with; so here’s EVERYTHING important that’s dropped in the last 2 weeks in a nice lil yap video :3!! LOCK IN, ENJOY, RT : youtu.be/oENe954Ku4U

How does anyone unironically think that a throwback title that mostly only appealed to a niche group of people who think Sonic 2 was the peak of the series is going to carry a long-running franchise? Sonic Mania is a great game, but a terrible direction for Sonic

Badnik Mechanic (Dave) Your argument was whether or not mania had more impact or frontiers. This graph shows that mania itself didn't lift sonic licensing revenue aka brand power up. Frontiers however did. The movie did more then both but frontiers did more then mania this ain't rocket science.

AllSharkQueen (@allcristina2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Look guys sonic mania reviewed well and sold well for a 20-5 dollar game. And that's enough. You guys don't have to fake saying it saved the franchise. It did what it needed to do in the late 2010s that's all. Its a great game that's commendable in its own right.

AllSharkQueen (@allcristina2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Shadow generations is a great game too but it didn't have nearly as big as an impact as frontiers because of it being attached to a remaster and seen as only a remaster first. Why can y'all admit that for that game but not mania lol.

AllSharkQueen (@allcristina2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

If crossworlds sells well too then I'll say it had a bigger impact then mania and if it does better frontiers too. You can apply this to other franchises too. Db Super even tho trash had more impact then daima. One piece had a bigger impact then naruto and bleach. Like wtf

If there's NOT Silksong news everyone who responds to this (and follows me so I can actually DM you the damn thing) will get a mystery Steam key of one of my games (Animal Lover, Nowhere Girl, Dreamcutter, or Inverse Ninjas) I made good last time I'll do it again.
