Most businesses are unaware of potential licensing permissions and risk. This is why we'd like to debunk some of these copyright beliefs. #copyrightagency #copyright #copyrightlicensing #supportingcreators

Happy #WorldBookandCopyrightDay! A day, for obvious reasons, very close to my heart. It's a chance to celebrate literature and the importance of copyright. I’d like to play a small part by sharing my recent reads, demonstrating the variety and quality of books in Australia.

Important new research on gender representation in the visual arts sector, supported by Copyright Agency through our Cultural Fund. Highlights that there is much work to do for uplifting women artists. smh.com.au/culture/art-an…

Good to see the Minister of Industry & Science acknowledge the behaviour of big technology companies, taking creators’ work w/o consent or compensation, has further eroded trust in AI. Looking forward to work with Gov to protect & respect creators' right: copyright.com.au/2024/05/indust…

Looking forward to this piece by Matthew Lamb on the remarkable fight for fair payment for authors. It led to the start of the Copyright Agency 50 years ago. The tools used might be different today, but the fight for creators’ right to be compensated remains the same!

Enjoyed speaking with my international colleagues about global developments in media monitoring and newspaper licensing at the recent IFRRO meetings in Valencia. Another rapidly evolving area that is swept up in the AI tsunami! Thank you CEDRO for hosting us.
