The one bad thing about this new era in college sports is that one really can’t invest any time into trying to remember a roster because those players probably aren’t going to be there for four years.

Watching this Lazio vs. Hellas Verona match. I don’t see how Verona escapes relegation this year. Being completely dominated.

UCLA has one half to get it together or this could seriously be a donut/bagel season. Of the remaining teams on the Bruins schedule, a combined record of 18–1. Only team with a loss is Northwestern.

Wishing for the best for DeShaun Foster. Although things did not work out as a head coach, you are regarded as superb individual and wish you best in future endeavors.

Oklahoma State might be going through a rough period but it will hard for them to ever get someone like Mike Gundy. Everyone in state talks about the other program yet he had 18 consecutive winning seasons. Quite remarkable.

Cal State Sacramento is making a commitment to keeping football. Out to bid for contractors is expanded 22,000 seat stadium. Current field seats 5,000. The budget is $171 million, which is tiny compared to other new stadiums. Still it will have new turf, locker rooms, more.

Good athletic facilities are key to keeping good student-athletes. That being said, San Clemente High is getting a new gymnasium. Not a surprise because the school has a strong reputation in athletics.

The response all need to make to media when asked about coach forced out. “I understand that you want to know. Unfortunately I cannot provide you any information because of various rules/regulations. If we are able to provide any info at a later date we will let you know.”

I don’t agree with the decision to fire James Franklin from Penn State. He’s had this program amongst the best in the nation for a long time. The loss to UCLA, certainly not good but this wasn’t some no-name university they were playing. Then you lose while losing your QB. Sorry.

104-45 is James Franklin’s record at Penn St. I just can’t believe that the university gave up on him so quickly. A lot of schools are going to want him. He won’t be out of work for long.
