Simone White’s death has been a tragedy and shock to us all. We must do more to raise awareness of the dangers of methanol poisoning in alcohol and keep young travellers safe. Tomorrow, I will host a Parliamentary debate to bring more attention to this important issue.

Proud to have spoken in the House as the government urgently updates the Mental Health Bill to bring mental health support into the modern day. Very encouraging to see action being taken to tackle outdated mental health support structures and mental health inequalities.

Today I held a debate to raise awareness of the dangers of methanol poisoning following Simone White’s tragic death. No one should go through what Simone’s loved ones have gone through. I hope collectively we can to do everything possible to make sure this never happens again.
