Thank you Drs. Al Cohen, Stan Anderson, Kurt Lehner and Foad Kazemi for leading our "Approach of the Month" operative dissection course This is a great aspect of our #training that regular gives residents and students hands on time under the microscope with anatomical specimens

Here in World Neurosurgery Journal, Adrian Jimenez+ performed a retrospective study of 263 #glioblastoma patients They show the hospital frailty risk score effectively predicts extended hospital length of stay, non routine discharges and 30 day readmission Great work! #tumor #MedX

Recently in Journal of Neurosurgery, Jiaqi Liu+ used the American College of Surgeons Trauma Quality Improvement Program and identified 2012 patients with firearm-related penetrating brain injury They found evidence that earlier pharmacological prophylaxis may be associated with decreased odds of #VTE!
