Regarding the book and its disappointing art direction: it's not like it's impossible to recover the original images without resorting to AI. And if that really wasn't feasible, why not simply use John Tobias's art? This choice leaves me quite frustrated.

I'm wary of getting my hopes up about MK lately.

I just received my Mortal Kombat book that I bought before the controversy surrounding it exploded. I totally regret it. Lesson: NEVER buy anything without reading reviews! #HardLearned

I'm hoping someone with a kind heart will post the Mortal Kombat documentary included in the Legacy Kollection, because I don't intend to buy the collection anytime soon after the recent disappointments.

An unfinished game, rushed out and abandoned halfway; a book with a highly questionable art direction; an incomplete collection that feels chopped in half... All that's missing is for the new movie to be bad to nail the franchise's coffin shut. Tough times to be a fan, huh? 🐉

It’s a shame this game was completely overlooked in Digital Eclipse’s documentary. There was so much to explore — especially Tobias’s original ideas, which never made it in — and that could’ve shed light on how the project went off track in the final product.
