Dublin ladies have pretty much no support here on Leinster final day. At a guess 50 people at best. Shocking!!

Very disappointing early fertility results.4 out of 15 empty and to rub salt in the wounds 1760 was on heat last night despite testing incalf. Collars had the 4 all quiet Had vet out checking this morning and thinks they were incalf and slipped. Could be a long breeding season🙄

Not milking until 7.30 this evening as we're looking forward to welcoming the judge at 9.40 in the morning for the IHFA national herds competition. The herd is very much a work in progress but we're getting close to where I like to be with them. I Love good cows 🐄🐄💪💪

Just home from a week in the sun.. batteries fully charged. Cows flying it @ between 2.4 and 2.5 kgms. They loving the new astro turf 💪. When they're happy,I'm happy 🐄🐄👍

The girls happy out. Sitting just under 2.2 kgs @ 200 DIM. 8% empty with the last due 22nd April.Tough breeding season.Bulls were busy but done the job in the end. It's been a great year for milk 490kgms delivered per cow as of yesterday evening.If only every year was as easy!

Hair and makeup on the go. Getting prepared to support our local Royal Meath show tomorrow week. Should be a good day out for the family. 3 calves for 3 kids💪.

The one heifer that scanned empty was brought home this week to load her up for the mart. Had the vet in with a sick cow so got him to double check...turns out she's 70ish days incalf💪.Lost a good cow last week after doing the splits so part consolation here. Good with the bad👍

Time for evening milking. Cows driving on nicely at 2.15 kgms. Just over 24.5 litres at 4.6 f and 3.9 p. Off to UK in the morning for a couple of days of farm visits and a show with some farmers from around the country. Looking forward to it. Good relief milker = peace of mind💪

The ladies are in for the first time tonight. Hopefully close on 3 weeks left out by day🤞🤞. Just under 2kgms per day with 593kgms per cow supplied to date. First few due for drying off in 3 weeks. The merry go round keeps turning 💪

Got a bit of advice on this community earlier on in the year and delighted I did. Was going to get a walk behind machine of sorts but the almost 82 year old dad has taken to the ride on like a duck to water! All advice was and is very much appreciated 👍👍💪💪

Despite a lot of rain this morning, grazing will continue by day. First cows due to be dried in the next two weeks. Averaging 20.6 litres w.82 bf and 4.02 p. 262 Days in milk and 617 kgms sold to date. Going to ask Santa for another year like this😜💪

Aaaand breath😅 Thankfully herd test is all clear so the incalf heifers go back out to hopefully finish the grazing on the out blocks.
