The year 7 Bushcraft trip has arrived safely in camp. Tribes are already off building shelters.

A great day at Cuffley camp for year 7 today and absolutely no rain! Fires burning ready for marshmallows before bedtime.

Another lovely day here on the Year 7 Bushcraft trip. We’ve been building fires, cooking burgers and learning some wilderness first aid. Tribes got talent taking place tonight!

DofE update. All groups have done brilliantly today. They are now setting up their tents and looking forward to their dinners.

JFK is closed today, Monday 12th December, due to snow conditions

DofE update: All groups have successfully passed their first check point. Mrs Nixon is in place awaiting their arrival at the second checkpoint. All student still have a smile on their face although are slightly wind swept.

All the students have safety arrived at camp! Tents are up and dinner will be cooking shortly. They have done brilliantly to get this far and can now enjoy their evening at camp

DofE update; It’s been a slow start this morning, students must have slept well in their tents! They are currently packing away and will soon be one the move. They are still expected to arrive between 11am and midday.

First DofE update All groups are doing well. The assessors are impressed with their navigation skills and all students have passed their required checkpoints. The next stop for them is camp. We anticipate they will begin to arrive from 3:30pm

Great fun here at Bushcraft. Fires have been built and burgers cooked. Dens built and tribes formed! Everyone enjoying the outdoors.

All well in camp this morning. Wilderness first aid complete, working with cutting tools now and the pizza ovens are burning ready for lunch.

Everyone up and ready after a long day yesterday and a good nights sleep. Breakfast has been served and now off to rehearse for ‘tribes got talent’. Planned return to school for 3pm.

Silver DofE Update The students set up camp well, it was a chilly night with a bit of frost on the ground this morning but everyone is in good spirits and ready for the day ahead

Silver DofE Day 1 of the expedition for our Silver DofE students. All groups are still in high spirits, the weather was chilly but very minimal on the rain & wind front. Students are currently cooking their dinners & plan on having a few games of UNO this evening. Roll on Day 2

Great day on camp today! All getting ready to sleep now, we hope!

A little rain today but it didn’t stop us. Lots of fun building traps, making pizzas, learning first aid and responding to an SOS scenario in a crashed plane. Dinner done and now for Tribes Got Talent.
