Feeling included in the workplace is something many of us crave. Building inclusivity is something we can all do. The truth is, we need both.

Believing our point of view will be validated by an overwhelming amount of information will probably do the opposite. The fewer numbers and hard facts, the farther our presentations will go.

As we begin to write our presentation script, we must figure out who we are speaking to. In other words, who is our audience?  It is important to understand our audience as we write our presentation script because we will need to tailor our message to fit our audience.

It is essential to see presentations as an opportunity to take our listeners on an experience.

It is critical for us to continuously retool ourselves because the skills we had before will not be sufficient in the future.

If we want our presentations to be engaging, we must focus on the middle. This is where the bulk of our presentation will be. We can think of this section as the journey.

Engaging with your audience is crucial to ending your presentation with impact and leaving a lasting impression.
