Found this flyer from 1999 in one of Dr. Peter Gloviczki, MD’s OR files, tucked away in one of the vascular call rooms. I’ve only seen pictures of these in buckets.

The most - to least - desired medical specialties in the 2022 Match, ranked by ratio of applicants to positions. (These data include only an applicant’s preferred specialty - i.e., the specialty they ranked number 1 - so multiple specialty applicants count only once.)

Having trouble advancing a sheath or device into a target artery during FBEVAR? One strategy: inflation of a non-compliant balloon (i.e. Coda) above the sheath, which provides support to advance into difficult anatomy. By Guilherme B. Barbosa-Lima at VEITHsymposium. #VEITH22 #aortaed

Is there a more satisfying moment in vascular surgery than a productive Fogarty embolectomy pass? Great case with an even better team. Matt Breite @trasmussen_md

My takeaways from #ASC2023 Assoc4AcademicSurgery for my fellow DO students interested in surgery: 1. Many of our allopathic counterparts are involved in research led by mentors who are at the top of their field. We need to network and get deeply involved to keep pace.

Hey new #interns: Going forward, you may feel pressure to "be professional" or otherwise conform to some mythical norms. Don't. Don't lose the style/individuality/uniqueness that got you to this point. Be you. Everyone else will adjust.

Fantastic opportunity for medical students interested in vascular surgery. I got a lot out of the course in terms of deciding on a career path, applications/interviews, and was able to meet PDs as well as future coapplicants/colleagues.

Incredible first time LINCmeeting - complex live cases, innovative techniques, and new devices from a diverse group. So grateful to see Germany and share this experience with my much better half Bianca Kenyon. #LINC2023 Mayo Clinic Vascular and Endovascular Surgery

No I’m sorry 3 years is way too long for a fellowship. 6 months max. You can learn 99% of the job in 6 months. Everything else goes to Mayo.
