Pastors, biblical inspiration, and inerrancy are essential. Consider what Dr. Mccune has conveyed here and where we are today in our culture. If we have lost the objective meaning of what a man and woman are to emotionalism, then the scriptures will be next to go.

“Rather than trying to figure out how to make the church more like the world so the world will go to church, we should be trying to figure out how to make the church more like Christ so the church will go to the world.” ~ J. Dwight Pentecost

“Time is capital given us to trade with for eternity; and he who goes off the 'theater of life' without attending to true spirituality will appear…an object of unparalleled folly, wasting his time upon matters which were utterly insignificant!” John Angell James

The recent movement among some conservative evangelicals away from grammatical-historical to premodern hermeneutics has been hailed as a return to a more “biblical” approach. But is that true? This session is a critical review of the notion of premodern exegesis.

Carol Swain grew up in a shack without running water with 11 brothers and sisters. She was much feted in academia upon her emergence but quickly engaged in heterodoxies that got her blackballed and went on to become an evangelical Christian and a Trump supporter. That's why her

The minutest particle of grace has eternal glory in it,…Faint not in your trial of faith. There is not a sweeter way to heaven than along the path of free grace, paved with hard trials. It was the way which He trod who was “full of grace.”

[Christ] met death as none had ever before-in all its unmitigated bitterness, unalleviated agony, and most appalling circumstances: His dying pillow, a cross; His attendants, murderers; His medicine, wormwood and gall, that when we die, we fall sweetly “asleep” in Him (Winslow)

Guthrie: “The Bible is an armory of heavenly weapons, a laboratory of infallible medicines, a mine of exhaustless wealth…a guidebook for every road, a chart for every sea, a medicine for every malady…a balm for every wound. Rob us of our Bible and our sky has lost its sun.”

Seven Deadly Sins committed On “X” 1) Returning insult for insult 2) Feigning humility while boasting 3) Meddling in quarrels not our own 4) Being quick to judge, slow to hear 5) Unwholesome speech 6) Despising correction 7) Excusing all of the above

The media loves using shock & awe terminology: “slammed,” “destroys,” “ended career.” Now immature believers use the same, claiming they’ve “destroyed,” “ utterly ended” an opponent’s doctrinal view with only a verse or two cited on X. Such a proud, juvenile evangelicalism.

36 yrs a pastor, exegete, Calvinist, non-covenantalist, premillennialist, and Biblicist (who values historic creeds). Go ahead, use all your favorite insults for how theologically inept you think I am, you don’t know me at all. And your X cheap shots will not age well in the end.

"Too often, problems that could be solved turn into conflicts that split churches and destroy ministries because one or both sides assume they live above these infirmities and iniquities." - Dr. Dave Doran dbts.edu/2025/04/03/pie…

If you’re going to claim that Scripture gives greater emphasis to one truth over another, don’t do it by glossing over the whole counsel God to bolster the claim. We all emphasize truths we’ve come to love, but our favorites sometimes cause us to miss Scripture’s entire emphasis

Evangelicals often claim that ministry ambition is “a sincere desire to influence others for Christ,” but for many that line has become a mask to hide a love of preeminence. We’re warned of it in James 3:16. It’s in all of us, and it must go! May we learn to live in V17.
