Excellent dining at the The Roosevelt Hotel and at a local place Cochon. Best virgin Strawberry Lemondrop I’ve ever had and Crab Beignets were perfect; the pork tenderloin and figs at Cochon were spectacular. We also enjoyed the gator appetizer and fried livers!! National Restaurant Association

Freshman Orientation Day!!! Van Horn High School Independence School District my awesome ProStart II students came to help in the kitchens and also promote the program to the underclassmen. Plus my favorite little apprentice 🩷 helped to make some cookies to hand out to curious freshmen at our table.

Great start to a great year. Christina Hocker from Startland Studio got us strategizing for the new school year; my very helpful students and I got a special treat from the Dole Whip truck, and we attended the KC Restaurant Assoc. meeting, making some new fabulous connections!! Pumped up and ready to start another year in the Independence School District . Mr. Smith our outstanding CTE Coordinator gave an uplifting speech to start our day and it was nice to see all the schools at convocation!! Ending the day with a refreshing dip in the pool ☀️
