About 2/3 of the way to Wellington so far, first rest stop now - a lot of driving today then early on the ferry tomorrow :)

Still can't handle travelling on these ferries, lost my breakfast. At least I had my own private cabin to clean up in 😅

Of course this happens the night before I'm due to drive home and no replacement places are open until Monday 😅

Got back from my course on Tuesday and have been making smoothies and soups for kid1 who had four molars out last Friday. Kid2 had dental surgery under GA this morning to get wisdoms + supernumerary teeth out, so the blended foods will continue. (Braces are coming)

Pulled out the fancy blender for the first time since we moved - to make ice chips and pulverise Tim Tams to powder for the culinary adventures of the 12yo who had his wisdom teeth out at the hospital yesterday. Poor kid is so very swollen.

Today I'm making a couple of small workshop wall shelf units. The ply I'm using is from a bundle of offcuts I bought from a local kitchen maker. There's some flaws etc but it's still much nicer than hardware store ply, cheaper, and I didn't need to wrangle with a full sheet.

Not to mention he loves the landlord lobby and has (demonstrably) zero clue what the cost of living actually is or how it's affecting NZers on the ground. It's sickening how much misinfo was let pass by mainstream media here even sans-Murdoch.

Trying to explain to 12 that the cheddar I buy is the exact same one we had in Australia (same brand and everything) and he refuses to believe me. Does puberty change tastebuds?? 🤷‍♀️
