Governor Kathy Hochul tells Texans: "Up until now, Democrats have treated our political system like it’s still governed by norms, guarded by limits and rooted in fairness. Rules were meant to be followed. It hurts to say it, but that era has come to an end." houstonchronicle.com/opinion/outloo…

💰On Trump’s 8/7 tariff deadline, Governor Kathy Hochul is out with new numbers, detailing expected cost increases across the state. TLDR: Trump’s trade war is set to crush New Yorkers’ wallets

A week after the deadliest mass shooting in Manhattan history—and just weeks before the anniversary of 9/11—Trump is slashing NYC's anti-terrorism funding by 41%. Donald Trump is making our city and America less safe.

Trump's tariffs are going to cost us all more. I hope every elected official gathers and puts out this kind of information. We need to make sure voters know who is costing them more.

Hey Elise Stefanik any comment on Trump slashing $64 million in security funding for NY?? Right after a mass shooting?? Talk about a disdain for police...

Instead of cherry picking stats without context, let's look at the facts. Last month was the safest July for the subway in recorded history. Crime and assaults down, ridership up. All thanks to a strong partnership between Governor Kathy Hochul MTA and NYPD Chief of Transit to keep NYC safe.

Just days after a gunman murdered four New Yorkers, including an NYPD officer, in a targeted attack, Trump stripped $87 million in counterterrorism and public safety funding. Washington must reverse this dangerous decision immediately.

.Governor Kathy Hochul on standing up to Republicans’ power grab: I've never been a hand wringer. I'm a street fighter from Buffalo…if they’re gonna break the rules, then I'm not gonna follow them anymore. I’m not going to go into a fight with my hands tied behind my back.

It’s simple, you can’t change the rules in the middle of the game and not expect to get stopped. msnbc.com/the-weeknight/…

Rep. Mike Lawler's interview on Morning Joe goes off the rails when he's confronted with the truth about his vote to gut Medicaid: "Hospitals across your district are going to have to cut services and care ... You know their business better than they know their business?"

What’s most pathetic is Mike Lawler signed on to a letter begging Trump to not actually implement the Medicaid cuts he voted for because he knows New Yorkers will suffer. Crain’s: NY Rs push to preserve $1.8B in Medicaid funding after voting to allow cuts crainsnewyork.com/health-pulse/n…

Hochul: "This is what I call a legal insurrection ... they know they're going to lose next year. That's the only reason they're engaged in this. It also might be a nice distraction from people asking -- all of the sudden this happens when? When they refuse to release the Epstein

WATCH: ⁦Governor Kathy Hochul⁩ takes the fight directly to ⁦Fox News⁩ “Why are we here today? Because Trump looked at the polls for next year and realized based on their failed policies, which are hurting people all across this country…they're going to lose next year.”

.Governor Kathy Hochul is showing why it’s important for Dems to be having the redistricting fight: Trump broke his promises to the American people. And now the GOP is rigging the game bc they know they’ll lose otherwise. This morning, she reminded Fox News audience of exactly that.

Fwiw, New York does not blanket ban cash/bond bail. Most serious crimes, including those that often make the front page of papers like the Post, are eligible for bail, and Hochul changed the law in 2023 to give judges more discretion to set bail
