We need change. Criminals have rights, victims should have rights! Especially when they r young children in high-profile case. They deserve to not be exploited in media. They deserve a constant advocate they trust when recounting what happened (repeatedly, which is traumatizing)

And then the quality of that "fast food" is used to undermine the value of journalism as a whole--both as an industry & a public good. It also makes it nearly impossible for people who don't come from financial privilege to do the job, further solidifying elitism in the field. 😞
