After last week's cancellation at Leeds Playhouse, I managed to get to see Ockham's Razor's "Tess" at HOME last night. It was well worth waiting for. It was also my first chance to see Home arts centre and I liked what I saw. Here's my review. jelterps.blogspot.com/2025/06/tess.h…

Greatly looking forward to the arrival of 新国立劇場バレエ団 The National Ballet of Japan at RoyalOperaHouse between 24 and 27 July. If the video of a rehearsal of Giselle by Miyakoaudiienc Yoshida is any indication, audiences are in for a treat. jelterps.blogspot.com/2025/06/yoshid…

My preview of Ballet Black 's autumn tour. The company offers a double bill consisting of Cassa Pancho's "My Sister the Serial Killer" based on Oyinkan Braithwaite's novel and Chanel DaSilva's A Shadow Work. jelterps.blogspot.com/2025/06/ballet…

Last night I saw Ballet Cymru's "Giselle" at Theatr Clwyd. I think this was the best show I have ever seen them do and it was certainly one of the best performances of #Giselle I have seen in a lifetime of balletgoing. Here's my review. jelterps.blogspot.com/2025/07/ballet…

Great class from Rachel Hickey of CzechNationalBallet at KNT Danceworks yesterday. One of Powerhouse Ballet's best events ever. Rachel is a great teacher but I look forward to seeing her on stage. Her company's programme for the next season includes some interesting new works.

My review of the National Ballet of Japan's performance of Giselle at RoyalOperaHouse on 26 July 2025. A fine production that stands comparison with my other favourites, Peter Wright's, Mary Skeaping's and Rachael Beaujean's. jelterps.blogspot.com/2025/07/making…
