Regarding "hygiene theater," I've said it before, and I'll say it again: we should be spending at least as much time and attention on distancing + masks + avoiding crowds + good ventilation indoors as we do on hygiene.

I fully agree that saying "less than 10 percent" of transmission occurs outdoors is not helpful. It's like saying the high temperature today will be less than 200 F. Here's a better guesstimate: <1%. nytimes.com/2021/05/11/bri…
