As more and more studies point to the harms of seed oils, most media outlets still conclude they are healthy and safe. While these articles may sound convincing, they are actually flawed, misleading, or outright wrong. Here are the top 10 flaws in pro-seed-oil reporting: 🧵

Deep frying with seed oils is a health disaster and it's a good thing to see them getting the boot from fast food. Let's discuss which toxins and health hazards are avoided by making french fries in beef tallow, and which ones remain. 🧵

The U.S. is ~4% of the global population, but eats 11% of the world's seed oils. Now at ~20% of our daily food calories, the U.S. is the world's only country that eats 700+ daily calories from seed oils (6 Tbsp), about 3x as much as world average. Could be something to look at.

I've seen a lot of folks promoting the C15:0 supplement Fatty15 as "revolutionary" and "massive". Unless you're vegan, I don't get it. The pill is just 100mg of Pentadecanoic Acid. You can also get that from: ~1 tbsp butter ~1.5 oz cheddar cheese ~3 oz ground beef ~5 oz salmon

Not only is the U.S. enjoying fewer years of healthy life compared to other developed countries, we are alarmingly not improving, year after year. In other words, while most countries are doing well and getting even better, the U.S. is doing badly and getting even worse.

Seed oil-free hotels are here. Proper Hospitality just became the first national hotel brand in the world to go 100% seed oil-free. The hotel group now uses only extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil, plus Zero Acre oil for fried dishes. forbes.com/sites/ronaberg…
