On 18 June 1944 a V1 flying bomb struck the Guards' Chapel during Sunday Service killing 124 people, including Revd Ralph Whitrow, the British Army 🇬🇧 Chaplain leading the service. Last Sunday a plaque honouring him was dedicated by the Chaplain General in the chapel. #WWII #OTD
