This is the larva of an acorn worm, it's called a tornaria larva. I think it could be a sculpture. Like sea cucumber larvae it has a peripheral band of cilia to generate swimming and feeding currents. ZEISS Microscopy

The Glass Octopus (Vitreledonella richardi) is a deep sea octopus species that is almost completely transparent and colourless. The only parts of its body that are opaque are its eye, digestive tract and its chromatophores. 🐙📷Schmidt Ocean Schmidt Ocean

Acantharia are blooming. Appearing at least 1 month early and likely, a sign of unusually warm water. Favourites of mine, their spines are strontium sulfate and their single-celled body contains golden symbiotic algae. Can 40s ever be too much of these beauties? ZEISS Microscopy
