Thank you to Wes Porter-UGA Ext Ag Engineer and his team at UGA Tifton for inviting me to participate in his Precision Ag Extension Agent Trainings this week in Tifton and Midville! I enjoyed my time as a Bulldog, but I’ll be back in Florida tonight in time to root for Florida Gators Men’s Basketball
This past week I attended a six-day workshop UGA Griffin Campus on DSSAT, a crop modeling program used to simulate agricultural systems and their interactions with climate and environmental conditions. Great experience learning alongside 70+ professionals from around the world! 🌾
Graduate students at Arden housing community in Palm Beach county today collecting soil samples and facilitating cover cropping in the summer. BMP grants sponsored by Florida Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services are helping small size farms with the effort.
