So has it been determined if the $5 million opt out "bonus" is paid to Bichette if he opts out, or is it what the Mets pay him to nullify the opt outs? Assuming it's the former but I haven't heard definitely one way or the other.

The Mets lost Brandon Nimmo, Jeff McNeil, and Pete Alonso, all home grown players, and Edwin Diaz, the best closer in the game, in the span of a few weeks and 99% of us got over it faster and dealt with it better than Yankee fans a year after losing a 1 year rental. 😂

Not for the price he’s asking. Hes a good player but not worth the deal he wants, and honestly I don’t blame the Yankees for holding firm.

I see a lot of these projected lineups with Robert Jr. hitting 7th or 8th. Would it make any sense to bat him 2nd and sandwich him between Lindor and Soto?

The Mets traded or lost via free agency Nimmo, Diaz, Alonso and McNeil over the span of a month. They signed Bichette, traded for Robert Jr. and *looks* like will be trading for Peralta all in the span of 5 days. Has this franchise ever had a more roller coaster off season?

Needed to be done. Peralta/McLean is a fantastic 1-2 combo and puts a lot less pressure on Manaea and Senga.

It’s such comedy gold that within a 24 hour period the Mets trade for Robert Jr., introduce Bichette, and trade for a bona fide ace in Peralta and you can still find a solid group of Mets Twitter pissing and moaning. 😂😂😂
