The #1 skill I'll teach my son is.. In baseball and in life: Self-Belief + Confidence. - Don't be in the batters box, own it. - Don't hope you'll earn a scholarship, be undeniable. - Don't show up to practice, set the tone and lead by example

You must have a short-term memory to become a great pitcher! Thinks happen - That's baseball! Move onto the next pitch! Satchel Paige said it years ago! Let's connect!

The game has changed in some respect but if you can’t throw strikes you probably won’t be involved in the game long. Pitchability > velocity Learn to throw strikes mentally and physically!

In a baseball world, coaches need to step back and allow the athletes to shine in their own way. We all had our day and now it’s time to help others find their light! Just be the switch to help them!

If we as coaches can provide them the tools and let them learn how to incorporate them, I believe teams and athletes will perform better. I see so many coaches who want to be the show and in turn cause the players to play in fear.

It’s amazing what can happen when you let others believe in themselves and help them figure it out. Putting down athletes is never the right answer to growing confidence!

Pitchers who can Ride the Slide throw harder, easier. Most pitchers push sideways off the mound and never take advantage of the slope. It’s by far the fastest, safest way to get more VELO instantly

Hurdle-ism 1: Don't Keep Score I bet you're thinking: What? For most of my life I've played sports, and the score definitely mattered! What do you mean, “Don't keep score”? My dad told me at a young age that all I needed to pay attention to so I could understand the game was to

Mental training in sports has a huge impact not on only performance but on life in general. If we are positive in our mind, we are generally happier. HS baseball started this week in PA and lots of thoughts are in our players mind! Keep those thoughts positive!

Comparison is the thief of joy!!! The only thing an athlete should compare themself to is them yesterday. No two athletes are the exact same so comparing is robbing yourself of enjoying the moment!

Positive attitude and drive to get better is what I will take over the anything else. Teach those who want to be taught.

Parents, READ THIS: Your kid struck out? SO WHAT. Struggled with command? SO WHAT. Made an error? SO WHAT. Had a bad game? BIG DEAL. Sometimes they just need a HUG and an “I love you,” rather than a lecture over poor performance. You can strike out as well with how

Players Every time you take the field, you're making a first impression on somebody. At minimum, they better walk away and think, that dude plays hard with a lot of energy. He plays like he loves the game.

If there are any college football programs out there on my list, take a look at Cole Lazorick . I had the opportunity to coach him on the baseball field a few times and he is an athlete that works hard in silence and competes!

This post sums up what’s wrong with baseball today. facebook.com/share/p/1DaGTR… Coaches who know pay 0% attention to GameChanger stats. While the parents who think they know pay 100% attention to those stats and harm the kids/teams by bad mouthing the ones playing or coaching.
