This fall, The Weinstein Lab (wlab.bio) will open at UChicago Medicine and UChicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering. Funded postdoc positions, spirited intellectually-driven research ... all that good stuff. Please spread the word (and shoot me a message if you're interested).

Exploiting the pandemic to wall off the U.S. and dismantle one of our greatest strengths—our ability to attract and retain the brightest minds from around the world—may ultimately cause even more long-term, self-inflicted damage to our country than #COVID19. Abhorrent.

A 3D map of mRNA transcripts in a zebrafish embryo. This video was not made using a microscope. Researchers tag nucleotides with barcodes, which then "link" together in the tissue. Sequencing those links can then be used to computationally infer the 3D positions of genes.
