Pretty excited to start basketball season at the Charlotte Hornets home opener last night and Furman Basketball this afternoon. Lots to be excited about for both my squads - gonna see some good hoops this year!

I mean this sincerely - our losses are not bad losses. We are in the game in the final minutes most every time. And the atmosphere at Spectrum is as good as it has been since the first season of being the Hornets again. I’ll take it.

An exciting finish and great win that showed the resilience of this team. EVERYONE contributed but major shout out to Cooper Bowser and Eddrin Bronson. Love Bronson’s quiet efficiency at both ends! 10-1!

NBA ratings aren't down because of politics or the quality of game play. They are down because of terrible media deals. The average fan has to jump through hoops and pay a premium just to watch their local team play. More will give up than not.

There is no other event in professional sports comparable to the PNC Championship. Fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters playing together with an age range spanning early teens to late 80s. And the competition is great - what a finish!

I love the Hornets and am a season ticket holder committed for the long haul. They are my favorite pro sports team. Truly. But man…

Chose my new seats for Timmons arena today, and doing so underscored how close we are to a new era in Furman Basketball. This program has accelerated mightily in the last ten years, and this new stage is extremely exciting. Time to get on the Furman Paladins train!
