Very proud to be a part of the LBUSD team passing out chromebooks to 1st - 5th grade students and parents in a drive through pick up. One parent said it was better than In-N-Out Burger® ! Laguna Beach USD Jason Viloria @bellenthebooks
You may have tuned in to Gov. Newsom’s press conference this afternoon where he announced new orders from the California Department of Public Health for the reopening of schools. Here’s what this means for LBUSD schools and how we will move forward. More info at lbusd.org/communications.
There's a new kid on the block. We'd like to welcome Mr. Joseph Vidal, who joins the TMS Waveriders as the new principal of the middle school. Read the full announcement: bit.ly/TMSPrincipal
With Orange County schools on track to be eligible for reopening of in-person instruction on Sept. 22, LBUSD has begun implementation of California Department of Public Health guidance recommending that school districts test staff periodically.
We’re on the road to reopening our school campuses with implementation of health & safety protocols developed with guidance from California Department of Public Health. Grateful for the team that coordinated staff testing and commencement of in-person services for some of our preschoolers.
LBUSD’s elementary waiver application for in-person re-opening was approved by OC Health Care Agency this week. More to come as we bring forward recommendations to the Board for the staggered reopening of our school campuses at a special meeting next week.
We’ve got enough to worry about. We don’t want to worry about the flu too. All LBUSD staff were invited to an on-site clinic for the flu vaccine today. Visit OC Health Care Agency for easy ways to get a flu shot.
Thanks to our staff and Laguna Beach PD PIO for helping kick off our first day of TK-2. Great day!
