Suzyn Waldman wouldn’t be here if she let stuff like this bother her. But I will say, with no pitchfork in hand and empathy for mistakes, that one of the hardest things about being a woman around sports is constantly watching people who know better reveal they don’t actually care

“I grew up a die-hard Cowboys fan. I grew up a Jerry Jones fan.” Strong reporting from Adam Kilgore on one of the more fascinating characters in the NFL.

A hiker vanished into thin air. Twenty years later, her family is left with unknowns. If you have time, give this incredible story from Roman Stubbs a look. washingtonpost.com/sports/interac…

All sports parent dream of having a kid this good and then you start to think of how you would handle it. Ace is about as bold as they come.

Really enjoyed writing this one. On Cal Raleigh, his bootylicious nickname and 90s Seattle nostalgia giving way to a new era. And it's through the prism of one man who can speak to all of this: Sir Mix-a-Lot. washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/10…

John Wall and Brendan Haywood will contribute to Monumental’s Wizards coverage this season. Wall will be a studio analyst for ~15 games. Haywood will do color commentary alongside Chris Miller for ~7 games. He’ll make his debut Saturday. washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/10…

The #Commanders stood pat at the NFL trade deadline. Jayden Daniels' dislocated elbow is a tough blow, but it ultimately didn't trigger them to go on a fire sale.

Dylan Strome arrived in Montreal as a father of two, with a third due soon. He left as a father of three, after learning during the first period that his daughter, Sutton, was born quickly while he was 600 miles away. On an emotional, unforgettable night: washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/11…

This is terrific work here. Of note for sports fans, at the top of the list is Miriam and Sheldon Adelson, owners of the Dallas Mavericks, who have donated $658 million in the past decade.

#Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will indeed be returning to practice this week, a person familiar with the matter confirms. NFLN first. It's been just a little more than 3 weeks since he dislocated his left elbow vs. Seattle.

#Commanders HC Dan Quinn confirmed Jayden Daniels will return to practice this week. He said he hasn't been cleared for contact, however, and it's unlikely he plays against the Broncos on Sunday.

Interesting from Tom here. You change three plays for the Commanders this season (Mariota 2-pointer, Gay FG, Jayden fumble) and they're probably 6-6 and in the playoff hunt. Of course, the same principle applies to last season when the luck went their way.
