Eli Drinkwitz built a roster at #Mizzou that was absolutely College Football Playoff caliber for a third straight year. But brutal special teams coaching/execution, headlined by an inexcusable week 1 kicker injury, has absolutely killed this team all year long. Heartbreaking.

It sucks the way MU lost, but my Eli Drinkwitz thoughts haven't changed. If he keeps assembling this level of talent and keeps winning every game he's supposed to, #Mizzou will be in the CFP mix every year. It's only a matter of time before he breaks through. That's the formula.

So glad Eli Drinkwitz is staying at #Mizzou, it’d be a bad time to find a new coach. His last 3 years: -8th most P4 wins -10 W’s vs ≥.500 teams -3 W’s vs Top 15 teams -22-0 when favored If he can’t break through in the coming years, make a change. But glad we get to see him try.

Eli Drinkwitz is the 2nd coach in #Mizzou history to win 8+ games in 3 straight years. (Pinkel, 2006-2011) But in 124 seasons of MU football, the Tigers have never won 9+ games in 3 straight years. Missouri has a chance to make that school history in next month's bowl game.
