This is unprecedented: The most powerful union in Nevada has unendorsed Democratic lawmakers who favored the gaming industry over the Culinary when the union tried to pass a bill to give it leverage in contract negotiations. This is going to roil the campaign waters.

A Nevada law from the 70s allows courts to charge a fee for people using public defenders. The practice varies depending on the court and judge.
