In light of new data and a potential increase in colchicine use:
💡Colchicine is a substrate of PGP and CYP3A4. Use with strong inhibitors of PGP and/or CYP3A4 (e.g., clarithromycin, amiodarone) with colchicine can lead to potentially fatal outcomes (i.e., bone marrow toxicity)

Read this on the package insert and was wondering how this would look when dispensed. Makes sense to create a new dosing pack for patients with moderate renal impairment to minimize wasting pills 🤷🏽♀️
We are likely going to go with a tac dose of 0.5-1 mg on day 1, then hold for the entire 5 day course. Hoping for labs 2-3 days after completion or may restart 25-50% until labs can be drawn 😵💫🤷🏽♀️
