Re: Itaewon disaster, many people believe the South Korean government is scapegoating those at the bottom of the chain while entirely avoiding responsibility themselves. Namely putting blame on the head of Yongsan fire station, which is not going down well.

Frontline firefighters who were dispatched as the first emergency workers at the Itaewon crush today expressed their frustrations, given how they are now basically being scapegoated for the disaster.

In another chilling attack on media freedom in S. Korea, MBC reporters have been blocked from boarding the presidential jet tomorrow as part of Yoon Suk-yeol's trip to SE Asia, citing "biased" reporting. MBC has said it will report via other means. imnews.imbc.com/news/2022/poli…
