I’m troubled by the arrest of Office of New York City Comptroller Brad Lander Brad Lander while accompanying a man out of a court hearing, a basic act of public accountability. Brad is a friend and colleague who honorably serves the City of New York.

Thank you to the Rhode Island House of Representatives for passing the Baby Bond bill, introduced at my request. This is a powerful step toward closing the racial wealth gap and investing in Rhode Island’s future. Grateful for their partnership on this historic effort.

Joshua Giraldo Baby Bonds has now officially passed the Rhode Island Senate. Thank you Senator Murray for sponsoring and championing this bill. Also thank you to Senator Lori Urso - District 8 for your strong support of this legislation.

🎉The RI General Assembly passed legislation sponsored by Lαmmis J. Vαrgαs & Rep. Noret that modernizes the state’s unclaimed property law to recover additional intangible assets on behalf of residents, allowing Treasury to continue its progress in reuniting you with your property!

RI will have a Baby Bonds program – if the treasurer can find private donations to fund it providencejournal.com/story/news/pol… via Providence Journal
