I’m troubled by the arrest of Office of New York City Comptroller Brad Lander Brad Lander while accompanying a man out of a court hearing, a basic act of public accountability. Brad is a friend and colleague who honorably serves the City of New York.

Today signified real progress in Rhode Island as Governor Dan McKee signed the Assault Weapons Ban into law. Gun violence impacts every community in some way, and as the former Mayor of Central Falls I saw its devastating effects firsthand. (1/2)

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of my friend, Alan Hassenfeld. Alan’s leadership at Hasbro and his tireless work as a philanthropist helped shape this state in remarkable ways. He brought creativity, generosity, and heart into everything he did. He will be greatly missed.
