#Mikayi by Verah Omwocha: a must-read for all men and mothers. Mikayi = Dho Luo for First Wife. The book explores perceptions and experiences of the author as a wife, mother, career woman, etc - and what these mean to her. Amazing book. First hand account; useful lessons.

I opened the book, and the first sentence was: "Life is difficult." I closed it, and haven't had the courage to open it again

It is a fact that some population GROUPS have been traditionally marginalized, while others have enjoyed power and privilege - and not because of their hard work or merit. Denial of this verifiable fact is at the core of the argument by those who oppose DEI.

Try another excuse for your non-immigration stance. But, Canada is not crowded. It is the second largest country in the world, with a population of 41 million (smaller than population of England).

🇨🇦 Good question by Michelle Rempel Garner. However, she is not being honest. Rempel has been an MP since 2011. Numbers of international students to Canada have been increasing steadily since then. Why is she acting surprised now in 2025? www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/36-28-0…

Please do not embellish the truth for the sake of clicks and retweets. It is not as simple as passing English language test and buying air ticket to Australia to become a teacher. One has to be certified by an Australian state to be a teacher in Australia. education.wa.edu.au/teachers-from-…

🇨🇳 #GaoKao has its merits. However, the pressure on students (13 million on them writing the same exam) can be too much and could result in mental health issues. One exam should not determine the future of a teenager.

I've often criticized performance-based pay for teachers. But, what is happening in DC and Dallas is remarkable: "Performance-based bonuses to teachers who agree to go to the lowest-performing schools (led to): better performance by these schools." washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/…

Families. Its good to try to make peace. Parents, look your children in the face and make things right. If you messed up, seek their forgiveness. It is sad when children learn that their parent has already been cremated. That is too much weight to carry in one's heart.

🇺🇸 I thought this was a twisted logic then, and I think it still is. Public schools should be strengthened, rather than telling parents they can move their kids from one school to another until they experience satisfaction and their kids are empowered.
