And if you’re experiencing said visions, maybe you’re eating your breakfast burritos a little too close to bedtime. But you do you.

Having the hiccups as a grownup is equally frustrating, exhausting and embarrassing. To think I saved my 2024 hot take just for that.

LET’S GO CHIEFS!! A playoff win would warm our hearts - under all these layers! (Someone asked, “Did you make a cardboard backpack to stand on?!” Yes. Yes, I did.)

You may know we have three shops (two downtown and one at KU Med), but did you know we do office catering anywhere in the metro? Order online at spokeskc.com. Because your team is tired of bagels.

As we get ready to open a new shop (Streetcar to Spokes!), we want to thank all of our teammates over the years and each of you has stopped by since we first opened 8 years ago. Thank you for shopping local, and congrats to all the KC Chamber Small Business Superstars across KC!

Friends, check it out, be cool, “streetcar to Spokes!” Breakfast burrito comes highly recommended if you are looking for a suggestion! 🌯 Welcome to the #kcstreetcar line Spokes Cafe|Cyclery!

Note to my Iowa State University Alumni Association friends in KC for Big 12 tourney(s): Stop by Spokes Cafe|Cyclery’s two downtown shops near P&L — at 12th & Washington or 10th & Main (along KC Streetcar 🚊💙 route) — for a hand-rolled breakfast burrito in the morning or a Reuben at lunch. Or better yet, all of the above!

Fun fact: Reubens are delicious for lunch, even when it’s not St. Patrick’s Day. Stop in any of our three shops all month long to fact-check for yourself.

THANK YOU for helping us celebrate EIGHT YEARS(!!) since we first opened our doors at 12th and Washington! Each of you has been part of this, whether you’re a regular at one of our three shops, stop by occasionally, or order catering. Thanks again, and here’s to year nine ahead!
